I'm not sure whether it's the heat, or some other factor but people are becoming more and more endanged by thoughtless cyclists on pavements and pedestrian areas. While out for just 1 hour today I was almost hit twice by cyclists going too fast or out of control in the High Road pedestrian area. I think it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt. Could the neighbourhood team(s) have a serious look at some measures to stop this before it happens.
Thanks.

A great temptation to suggest investment in a couple of machine-gun posts..............!

I feel for Verhorenhoop.
I am a considerate user of pedal power and I use the road and I must say that a very large percentage of the drivers are considerate. However, it is not for the faint hearted.
I also watch, with dismay, youngsters cycling on the road with not an iota of road sense or knowledge of the Highway Code. Also, whether a road is a main road or side road is not meaningful these days because cars are driven far too fast on minor residential roads.
Cyclists should definitely not interfere with pedestrians areas but somehow it feels that cyclists have no place in the system.
In our 'green days!
I cannot see easy solutions because most roads are too narrow to allow safe cycling lanes.
Can we educate people? All of them? :doubt:

So long as the machine guns shoot only bean bags this may provide a leisure activity and also revenue for the council. I'm all for it.

I wonder if anyone with access to the SNTs actually reads this forum. Would someone here, or a moderator, please inform me how to contact someone who could take some action regarding this problem. An e mail address or postal would suffice.
Thanks in anticipation.

A month has passed and no reply. I'll have to try the SNT and hope that if it's not them I need that they can point me in the direction of a responsible department.
