For the second month running, no redbridge life newspaper was delivered to my abode.
Not that I specially want a copy, I can read it on line. However, if somebody is paid to distribute, they are not doing their jobs. Out of interest, The Yellow Advertiser (which Redbridge Council does use regularly) is not distributed round here either but that is not the Council's problem because the Yellow Advertiser are open about limited areas of delivery. If patchy delivery of the Redbridge Life is also a known fact to the Council, fair enough. But, if somebody is trusted to deliver and is paid for the task, not right! Where do the undelivered copies go?
Fast track recycling, I guess?

You've answered your own question Anne. A complete waste of our money and a soft target for a budget cut. It ought to be on Koko's little list...... Flapper Flapper

I thought Redbridge Life Newspaper was on it's way out, anyway it has been discussed enough, I live in Cranbrook Ward and I haven't received a copy since July this year and I am not to only one.

I had a telephone call at 8:45pm from someone claiming to be from the Council and wanting to know if I had received the latest issue of Redbridge Life. What is that all about?

Hmmm .... how would "someone from the council" know your phone number?

Did they address you by your name?

Yes, they knew my name and address. After the call, which I terminated quickly, I dialled 1471 and got the usual "we do not have the caller's number" message which usually indicates the call came from abroad. Very strange.

I assumed that the stern waning on my front door about junk mail is the reason I haven't seen a copy for quite some time ...

My recent post concerning an item in Redbridge Life only came about after someone who could be bothered to read it drew it to my attention.

The quality of the relevant article only served to confirm my 'not fit for purpose" opinion ...

This new website format makes me yearn for the previous format! Contributions seem to vanish pretty much immediately. (Apart from officialdom, that is!)
Has somebody in charge reassured pseudolus that the phone call to his abode regarding distribution of Redbridge Life was genuine, either from the council or their distributors, whoever they are.
Of recent time, only one copy reached our front door and I did see the distributors who were operating from a rough looking large white van, without the redbridge logo.
Maybe the white van failed the London low emission test and is no longer with us and the distributors cannot afford an updated model?

Hello Anne,

I have spoken to the Redbridge Life Editor and it would be helpful if you could private message your address to us, so this distribution issue can be sorted out with the distribution company.

As soon as you provide your address I will ensure this is looked into and resolved for you and any other residents who private message my team with their address including their postcode.

Many thanks

Hello forum users and contributors to this forum topic.

Redbridge Life is published and distributed to residents four times a year instead of monthly, making a saving of £90,000 – find out more about Redbridge Life here

Quarterly distribution started in March 2011, which may answer issues raised around editions expected monthly.

The Winter edition was distributed week commencing the 28 November, but if you have not received a copy please use the forums private message feature to let us know your address and postcode, to enable the Editor to take up issues with the distribution company.

Many thanks

Regards,

Redimanager Smile

Well, I don't wish to receive Redbridge Life and I also do not wish to have evening telephone calls asking if I got it.
