Are they a thing of the past, I have just browsed Archived area discussions (to Oct 09) who is responsible for the initial import, have they all gone to sleep

The area forum were closed when we changed to v2- mainly because the were supposed to be replaced by " ultra-local" My Neighbourhood- based on a fallacious argument that people would post to My Neighbourhood, when they could talk over the garden fence.There are succesfull ultra-local "blogs/forums
however these are all run by dedicated local people, with a large local following, without these leaders the "ultra local" will not work, certainly not for a council run system, with no leadership,there are none sucessfully
running. The whole system was badly researched and even more poorly instigated.

I promise you there was a post above (signed redimanager) which I questioned economically because I could not understand it.
