How is one supposed to find, from this page, details of the Public Transport Liaison Group, the Cycling Liaison Group etc - assuming of course that residents know they exist in the first place.

That is exactly what I did. But then you and I both know they are there.

There is also this page and this one.

Both in the "Menu Structure" under "The council" >> "Committee Agendas and Minutes", but neither of which can be accessed via a direct link from either of those pages. In fact there is no direct link from "The Council" to "Committee Agendas and Minutes".

Easy to navigate menu structures are a basic requirement of "Award winning websites".

But you forget that all the awards have been for technology, not for the obvious requirements of usability and accessability, hence the failure of the website to win any plaudits (or awards) from Socitm annual "Better Connected" survey of Council Websites, covering

" Each year SOCITM (Society of IT Managers) carries out an audit of local authority websites in the UK. The purpose of Better connected is to identify good practice in the development of local authority websites based on extensive evidence-based research with their useful, usable and used framework. For this SOCITM carries out a detailed programme of surveys and tests to identify the level of usability, usefulness of content and accessibility of each Council website.
A team of reviewers carry out a structured survey for local authority websites, followed by six shorter surveys on specific topics"
Many councils actually publicly review their performance and publish it on their websites, why not Redbridge?

This research is supplemented by additional sets of data, supplied by partner organisations.

Accessibility, Readability and Resilience are also tested.
