Does anyone know why all the trees at the Council offices in Perth Terrace are being cut down? Doesn't seem a very green thing to do.

I don't know, but I have noticed that hacking trees down seems to be a favourite past-time around here.

If you go to the homepage and type in trees you get a page come up that gives you telephone numbers and an email address trees@redbridge.gov.uk maybe if you enquired there? There are also usually good reasons for most removals by the Council, like wrong place wrong specie or deseased/dying/dangerous its the occassional hacker thats the problem

Thanks for your suggestion, Julie. Unfortunately, my query to that address went unanswered.

Well they take a bit of time to reply - very busy people usually - maybe try the phone number?

I've emailed queries in the past (not to that specific email) and they tend to ignore things they don't want to answer (and ignore follow ups). To be fair a couple of queries regarding rubbish bins and rats in the park I've sent the response(s) were superb.
