Wow......is that all? To cater for Redbridge borough of it's size, with all the population and the schools it has?

I believe you may be able to swim for free in LB Barking and Dagenham as they are funded to do so by the NHS.
LB Barking & Dagenham can, then why can't Redbridge do the same?

I say, Redbridge should (for the over 60's & children 16 & under....with slotted times and days during the week), bring the concession price down to 50p for 1 hour pool time? They say swimming is the best form of excercise (not only for the elderly, but all ages). I strongly believe that Redbridge should reduce the concession rate (even with leisure card), not only for the over 60's & children as mentioned above but also go further, for those ages who have medical condition where their doctors have said that swimming would help their health, with a letter from doctor for their patient to qualify for concession rates or for free. Surely, the over 60's and people with medical condition would have significant impact on our NHS / local PCT (Primary Care Trust), if they swam on a regular basis and kept healthy, on a affordable / concession rate or even for free in the long run? I know some schools (some children) via their school term time (e.g only for one term, once a week) have an hour or so swimming lessons for free.......but this too is not enough! Getting our children to excercise whilst they are young is a good thing in the long run, as they will be much healthier in years ahead of them (meaning less impact on NHS in the long run)!
