Squatting in a residential property

There has been several items in the press of late concerning the squatting in residential properties by families of Romanian origin. On Valentines Ward our team of police officers have had much success in dealing with this and if residents notice that there are odd goings on in previously empty properties then I would suggest that they contact their relevant SNT team. If the correct sequence of events with the issuing of orders or writs (unless the property has been left empty for some time in which case these should be reported to the council's main switch board beforehand), the case may be resolved fairly quickly.
Of course it also good to know your neighbours and be supportive in these times.

Could somebody please change the category for the post above. What Cllr Turbefield says is very interesting and welcome but, hopefully, not linked at all to squatting in residential properties.
