Every time I need to call the council to discuss anything from tax to general enquiries, I find it daunting! Almost always there's a wait, then a rude person answers the phone (who sound like there being whipped to work, and don't want to be there!), the help provided isn't very effective and there is no sympathy... The Redbridge Council as a whole are doing well, but the Customer Service is... well... appalling! :doubt: Sort it out - NS

Have to agree with you there enesone.

Last year, when new neighbours moved in next door and started building extensions and large outbuildings without first obtaining planning permission, we had to deal with the Council on a regular basis. I have to say the chap that we eventually did deal with was extremely helpful and did what he could within what the law allows however, getting hold of him was the hard part. I had to deal with so many jaded people - I don't know who they were or what they did, but they were incredibly rude and just didn't seem to care at all.

You can either contact your Ward Councillors or even ask for the chief or head of the department whom your complaint is with i.e. Head of Customer help and information etc.
