Hi, I am Amarnath staying at Ilford and I have shifted from India to London and seeking admission for my 4.6 year old daugter. Please let me know wether she can get the admissions in Primary school. If yes then how to find out which school is taking admission for 2008-2009.

Hi Amarnath, Look here for information: http://www.redbridge.gov.uk/cms..._schools.aspx#admissionsNote that there is a link to a map which will help you to find schools near to where you are living.

Hi Amarnath - you can get information from Lynton House Admissions or the one stop shop. I must make you aware though that Redbridge schools are heavily over subscribed and so you should not expect your child to get a place at the school/s you have preference for or that are close to your home. Some parents are having to take their children to schools that are quite a distance from their homes due to the situation in Redbridge - which is overly populated with not enough school places because of people moving into the Borough and the new housing developments overcrowding an already overcrowded Borough. Just don't get your hopes up - thats all!
Also a note to people who are moving to the Borough 'just for the education' (i hear this so many times!) - PLEASE find out about the current oversubscribed situation before you sell your house and move to Redbridge - you are very unlikely to get the school you want for your child as there are people alreday in the borough that have been living here or even born here long before you move here that are not able to get their children to the school they have been living next to for years!
