The Area Committee are looking at plans for an introduction of a 20 mph speed limit zone and associated Traffic Calming Measures pedestrian facilities around Barley Lane Primary School. The school, cyclist organisations, London Buses, the Police other emergency services and residents will be consulted on the plans.
Also being considered is the introduction of a 20 mph traffic zone and road safety measures around Farnham Green Primary School. The school, cyclist organisations, London Buses, the Police other emergency services and residents will be consulted on the plans.

I dont think its traffic calming that we need but CEO's that are acutally will to issue tickets to the idiots who insist on parking on zig zag lines in front of school..
Yes you heard it right..traffic wardens (CEO's) actually standing around not giving tickets..amazing isnt it.

They do give tickets, but to people who have a good reason for parking outside their house (to off load heavy gardening equipment from their ...If I am allowed to say the "A" word?!? I trust Anne and David Sevant will update me). Vans owned by the house holder appears to come under a different rule. They are allowed to park their van outside their house, and not on their driveway!!

This issuing or non issuing of tickets defies logic absolutely. I think one should apply to a training course as a traffic warden to become fluent in these 'not making anysense at all' regulations. (Of course, the rules depend also on the Borough you are in. This, to make things even more bewildering.) Horror stories are two-a-penny. One looks at the rules and one wonders why some areas are immune whilst other are randomly hit. Most of us must have watched complete disregard for the rules and wonder how the drivers get away with it (or why?) In the Ilford Recorder, there was a story of a traffic warden who fined somebody in Redbridge for what would have been an offence in Havering. (The warden had strayed from his area.) But, why was the car ok in Redbridge and deserving a ticket should the road have been in Havering? Regarding to unloading heavy equipment (just used on the allotment) only to get a sneaky parking ticket on a yellow line, it might have been worth going to the trouble of going to appeal. But was it worth the aggro? annesevant
