I heard about this over a year ago but nothing seems to have happened since...

Good question etoc. The space vacated by the garage at the junction of Kenwood Gardens/Cranbrook Road is a disgrace. Surely this land shouldn't be allowed to go to waste like that. Does anyone know if planning permission has been granted?

The Primary Care Trust (PCT) should be able to answer your questions.

Thank you BryanDicker. You know what the NHS is like though. Not likely to answer a straight question with a straight answer. But in any event, what has it got to do with them? Did they buy the land?

Surely it can't be that difficult to dig up the contaminated materiel and replace it with good soil or rubble to build on? the area needs a community centre since they shut St Augustines Parish Hall. How about it Redbridge - as the church has abandoned it's principles and responsibilities can the council do the right thing instead?

A civic centre was supposed to have been built some years ago at the now Tesco site by Banardo's in Barkingside, but the Council of the time had turned it down!
