The junction of Springfield drive and Donington Ave is getting two dangerous. We had a major accident on Monday 23 March. One of the wrecks has been left in the juction; it must have been speeding fast judging the damage it sustained.

Everyday there is a "near miss" accident. We live near the junction and our children have to change their route to school to avoid crossing the junction.

I think the cause is cars coming down from down-hill Donington Ave towards the junction in high speed, ignoring the give-way sign, and going straight through the junction. Most of these cars come this way to avoid busy Horns Road in peak hours.

People parking very close to the junction on Springfiled Drive creating a blind spots for cars crossing the juntion (fron Denham Drive or Donington Ave) is also a major contributor of these accidents. This would be solved by marking a double yellow line in the junction.

How should we approach the Council to resolve this proble?

 :(

While they are looking at that can they also look at crossing Hamilton Avenue from South to North on Ashurst Drive? From the other directions is is safe and simple but from the south is always seems extreemly dangerous because of the offset.
