As many of you have probably seen, there is a new road layout on Cranbrook road. Not only does the new layout appear pointless but is causing huge amounts of tailback all the way down cranbrook road and along ilford hill,
Does anyone have a clue what the idea is? as it appears to me that once what was three lanes going towards ilford lane is still three lanes but divided up, and coming from ilford hill towards the station the two lanes are looking like one?
Shed some light someone please

this is to do with the "east london transit". the buses will be able to turn right from high road into cranbrook road instead of having to go all the way around "the island". for all the details about elt(including routes and schedules of works) go here; http://www.tfl.gov.uk/co...ectsandschemes/2123.aspx
