I have been keeping up to dte with any proposed revision to the plans for Grove Farm. However, as of yet nothing has been drawn up ...it seems to quiet for me. Do let me know if any plans are submitted if you are a residenst in the area.
In the meanwhile I ahev some more good news:
After a 2 year battle, a petition in excess of 2000 signatures long, a protest march, two public meetings with Statutory local agencies, council officers and TFL and several newspapers articles - TFL Have finally conceded to install a ground level safe crossing at the Whalebone Lane Junction of the A12.
Most campaigners had suggested East Road as the most suitable location for such a scheme - due to its central position. TFL, however, have provided clear reasons with supporting information indicating why Whalebone Lane junction would be more suitable. This achievement demonstrates how important it is for local communities to unite and make their voices heard. No MP's or councilors joined our campaign however our success demonstrates that people can bring about change without these lead figures - if they pursue an objective logically, persistently and diligently.
